About Vivian Marsden
Books & Business is led by Vivian Marsden, an AAT Level 4 qualified bookkeeper with over 25 years’ experience supporting small businesses.
Vivian began her career as a junior secretary within accountancy practices, where she was immersed in the day-to-day workings of bookkeeping, accounts, and compliance from an early stage. Over the years, she progressed into more senior administrative roles, eventually becoming an Executive Assistant for a private investor in London.
In these roles, organisation, discretion, and forward planning were essential. Vivian worked closely with business owners and senior decision-makers, supporting complex financial activity and ensuring systems, records, and deadlines were managed carefully and consistently.
Through this hands-on experience, Vivian naturally transitioned into bookkeeping, combining her practical understanding of business operations with structured financial support. Today, she brings that same calm, organised approach to working with clients — keeping records in good order, processes clear, and compliance handled properly.
