Here are some other noteworthy dates to remember: 


2025

31st January - deadline for filing self assessment online tax return 

31st January - deadline for payment of self assessment online tax return

1st February - change to alcohol duty rates 

26th March - Spring Budget

31st March - New commercial recycling law

1st April - Change to statutory pay rates and employers' NI

5th April - 2024/2025 Tax Year ends 

6th April - 2025/2026 Tax Year begins - Statutory parental, sick and bereavement pay changes as well as an increase to Business Asset Disposal Relief

19th April  - FPS adn EPS deadling for employers

31st May - Employers to issue P60s to all employees

1st June - Advisory fuel rates

6th July - submit P11D forms to HMRC including the amount of class 1A National Insurance owed

22nd July - Pay NI on taxable benefits

31st July - Second payment on account due

1st September  - Advisory fuel rates

5th October - Self Assessment registration deadline

31st October - Paper Self Assessment Tax return deadline

1st December  - Advisory fuel rates


2026

6th April   - MTD for Income Tax Self Assessment (MTD ITSA)



For Corporate Tax Returns (CT600) the deadlines are 12 months after the end of the accounting period which usually is the end of the month. Whilst Corporation tax payments are due 9 months and 1 day after your year end. For example if your year end is 31st December your tax payment will be due the following October. Other corporation tax dates payments are as follows: 

‘Large’ companies (profits > £1.5m) the first instalment due six months and 13 days after the first day of the accounting period and quarterly thereafter. ‘Very large’ companies (profits > £20m) the first instalment is due two months and 13 days after the first day of the accounting period followed by quarterly thereafter.
